White Rock Rcmp Continues Search For Justin Fisher, 2 Years Later

Swift News

On the two-year anniversary of his disappearance, White Rock RCMP is renewing their plea for information about Justin Fisher.

"Justin – if you see this: Your mom and family miss you and want to know if you’re safe, OK, and doing alright."

A loving message from family members was included in a Wednesday RCMP release that noted White Rock RCMP are still searching for Justin Fisher, two years after he was last seen in the seaside city.

On Oct. 8, 2023, White Rock RCMP received a report of found property and determined it belonged to Justin Kyle Fisher.

He was last seen in White Rock, in the 15000-block of Marine Drive, on Oct. 7, 2023. His backpack containing his belongings was found in the water about 100 metres offshore by a kayaker the next day, the release noted.

RCMP do not believe there is any criminality associated with his disappearance.

As the investigation began, police were unable to locate or contact Fisher, and his family in the United States were contacted. They family told police that they had not heard from him since his arrival to Canada on Oct. 2, 2023, said the release.

Police believe that Justin travelled to Vancouver while in Canada, and surveillance footage and receipts confirmed his presence in the area of Cambie Street and Seventh Avenue as well, the release continued.

Police have not been able to locate the outdoor gear or the clothes Justin was last seen wearing, which was a plaid shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes.

Fisher, who would now be 43 years old, was described in 2023 as 6', 220 pounds, with grey, balding hair and hazel eyes.

His family described Justin as a quiet, mellow, reserved type. He is a deep thinker, who likes to engage in conversations about world events, history and philosophy.

"We want to find Justin and provide his family with the answers they are looking for," White Rock RCMP said in the release.
