1 Man Arrested After Assault With A Weapon In Surrey Overnight

A man has been arrested after an assault with a weapon in Surrey overnight.

Around midnight Friday (Oct. 17), RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit responded to a building in the area of 140 Street and Green Timbers Way regarding an assault with a weapon, Surrey Police Service said in an email.

One person suffered minor injuries and was treated by B.C. Emergency Health Services at the scene; one man was arrested and is being held pending his bail hearing.

Police did not provide any details about what kind of weapon was involved.
